Imagine a day when there is no news to report. Take a look at this eerie video where the news readers just say nothing. This is an unusual creation by a motion graphics firm. The Creator says "I recorded a bunch of footage and then stripped out the talking news presenters and replaced them with non-talking ones. The effect was unsettling."

A proposed bill to amend Canada’s Copyright Act

A week ago the minority federal government of Canada, and Industry Minister Jim Prentice, tabled an amendment to the Copyright Act. Entitled Bill C-61, its purpose is to bring Canadian copyright law into compliance with the current WIPO treaty (this despite their being no international legal obligation to implement WIPO - it hasn’t been ratified by Canada).
